Executive Headshots in Dallas: Building Your Professional Visual Library
Plan photographs for LinkedIn, speaking engagements, company biographies, and the opportunities ahead.
Explore Essential & Signature Sessions
Your LinkedIn profile, company biography, conference introduction, and press feature may all need a photograph of you. Each places that photograph in a different setting. A close headshot that works well on LinkedIn may leave too little room for a speaker announcement or a full-page professional profile.
When planning executive headshots at our Dallas–Fort Worth studio, I help clients consider where their photographs will appear. That conversation guides us toward a professional visual library: a selected collection of headshots and portraits with variations in expression, clothing, and framing that support different uses.
A promotion, board appointment, speaking engagement, or outdated photograph may bring you into the studio. We can plan around that immediate need while considering other opportunities ahead. You don’t need to arrive knowing which photographs to choose. Helping you make those decisions is part of the experience.
What is an executive visual library?
An executive visual library is a collection of professional photographs you can draw from as your work requires. It might include a recognizable profile headshot, a wider portrait for presentations, and alternate looks for your company website or media requests.
The right collection depends on your professional life. Someone updating a company biography may have a focused need. An executive who also speaks at conferences, contributes to publications, and maintains a personal website may benefit from more variety.
During selection, I help you compare the photographs and identify what each adds. We consider your preferences alongside the practical requirements of the places your images will appear.
Start with where your photographs will appear
Before your session, think about the materials you use now and any upcoming requests. If your company, publication, or event organizer has image specifications, bring them with you. Those details help us plan the framing and background.
- LinkedIn and professional profiles: A clear view of your face that remains recognizable in a small or circular crop.
- Company leadership page or board biography: Clothing, background, and framing that fit the organization’s presentation.
- Conference and speaker materials: A portrait that accommodates the organizer’s layout and image requirements.
- Press features and professional profiles: Close and wider options that give an editor suitable choices.
- Presentations and personal websites: Orientation, space around the subject, and how the photograph fits the surrounding content.
These uses don’t dictate one correct expression. A smile can work well on a leadership page, and a quieter expression may suit a personal profile. We explore what feels appropriate for you and the setting.
How one session creates different options
Wardrobe and expression can create different options for the same person. A white coat, a gray suit, and a navy suit each offer a different way to present yourself. We consider which look fits the professional setting where your photograph will appear.

These are possible uses, rather than records of how this client used the photographs.
Framing contributes another kind of flexibility. A headshot emphasizes your face, while a seated portrait includes more posture and clothing. Depending on the layout, that wider view may be useful for a website, presentation, or publication. Changes in wardrobe and background can also help each portrait suit a different setting.

You don’t have to evaluate these differences alone. I help you compare the options, explain where each might work, and narrow the selection around what matters to you.
Building your collection at Godoy Shots
At our Farmers Branch studio, we begin with your intended uses and any concerns you have about being photographed. That gives us a practical starting point for clothing, expressions, and composition.
During the session, I guide your expression, posture, and head position. Through expression coaching and live image review, you can see the photographs as we work. We discuss what you like and make adjustments together.
For clients seeking a broader collection, the Signature Headshot Experience provides time for multiple wardrobe changes and different portrait formats. We plan the range around your needs and the session time available.
At the end of the session, we review the photographs together and select the images you want professionally retouched. I help you compare similar frames, recognize useful differences, and build a selection that feels right for your professional life.
Preparing for your session
Bring any image requirements, examples of where the photographs will appear, and clothing that reflects how you present yourself professionally. Your current headshot can also be helpful: it gives us a starting point for discussing what you want to update.
If you are uncertain about outfits, expressions, or the number of images you need, we can work through those questions together. The aim is to leave you with photographs you feel comfortable using when the next request arrives.

FAQ
Can I create LinkedIn headshots and wider executive portraits in one session?
Yes. Our Signature Headshot Experience accommodates close headshots and wider portrait formats. Let us know your intended uses when booking so we can plan accordingly.
Do I need a different photograph for every platform?
No. One photograph may work well in several places. A visual library gives you alternatives when a different expression, outfit, or composition better fits the request.
Can I change outfits?
Yes. Wardrobe changes are available, with the range depending on your chosen session. Signature offers more time for multiple looks and portrait formats.
How do session fees and image purchases work?
Your session fee is paid at booking. At the end of your session, we review the photographs together and you choose the images you would like to purchase. Images are sold separately at $150 each, including professional retouching. Images are not included in the session fee.
How many photographs should I select?
There is no single number that suits everyone. I help you choose based on your intended uses, your preferences, and the variety you find useful.
